As a freelance consultant logistician (trading as Saltire Consulting & Management) I have bult an enviable reputation that has been built on many years of extensive international experience, spanning all aspects of supply chain management for exploration drilling operations for major onshore and offshore drilling and production projects in the oil and gas industry, including challenging remote frontier and deep-water projects from inception through to first oil/gas, in remote locations where harsh weather, complexity, strict regulatory compliance, political and cultural sensitivity, partner and operational conflicts are routine!
Using 40 years of international senior management experience to provide insightful consulting and interim and project logistics management services to major oil and gas companies, drilling and service contractors around the world.
I have worked on multiple repeat projects for clients which have included Chevron, ConocoPhillips, BG, JX Nippon, Ophir Energy, Exxonmobil, Husky Energy and others.
Areas of operation have included the North Sea and throughout Europe, Canada, West Africa - Gabon, North Africa -Tunisia, Sultanate of Oman, USA, United Arab Emirates, China, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and St. Pierre & Miquelon.
My specialist focus has often been applied to helicopter and marine operations, supply base management, procurement and contracts for both 'greenfield' and 'brownfield' projects.
I am a former Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport and a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (A committee member in NSW Australia and a founding / organising member in Oman).
I have also served as a Director for a major UK Port Authority.
